Harnic Investigation Framework

This article describes a way to build and run single-manor dispute adventures for Hârn in which the wrong has layers - each one growing out of the last, each one harder to look at than the one before. The PCs ride in as the Law: knights under writ from a Sheriff, itinerant adventurers employed by a Bailiff of the Hundred riding their circuit, a chancery judge on assize, jurors sworn at the shire moot. The manor welcomes them, feeds them, and quietly bleeds the truth toward them whether anyone wills it or not. The PCs find each layer, decide what they will tolerate, and render judgment. The article is in three parts: a framework, a reusable creation format, and a worked example
